Dr Sooraiyah Nilamber graduated as a medical doctor in 2007 in St. Petersburg, Russia. Originally from Mauritius, she has gained a breadth of clinical experience across different countries.

She moved to the UK in 2016, where she worked across a variety of NHS and private healthcare settings. Dr Nilamber completed her general practice training on the south coast of England, where she developed a particular interest in adult palliative care and women’s health.

Dr Nilamber enjoys the medical complexity and meaningful human connections that general practice has to offer. She values continuity of care and developing a rapport with her patients.

Outside of work, she is a proud seaside enthusiast and finds joy in coastal living, cooking, and spending quality time with her family — her greatest source of support and balance.
