Dr Nigel Tay has been practising medicine since 2012 after graduating from the National University of Singapore. He initially gained extensive hospital experience across multiple medical and surgical specialties before moving into primary care. Over the past eight years, he has completed two postgraduate Fellowships in Urgent Care and General Practice in New Zealand, before relocating to Australia in September 2025.
With additional postgraduate qualifications in Sports Medicine and Skin Cancer Medicine, Dr Tay regularly manages sport-related orthopaedic conditions, performs joint injections, and conducts full skin and mole checks. His procedural skills include punch and excisional biopsies, cryotherapy, curettage, cautery, and simple to complex excisions and closures, including flaps and grafts. Skilled in clinician-performed ultrasound, he also offers point-of-care ultrasound assessments to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.
Dr Tay is committed to providing high-quality, personalised care that is evidence-based and aligned with current treatment guidelines. He values creating a safe, non-judgemental environment for all patients and is a strong advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Outside of work, Nigel is passionate about sport and enjoys swimming, tennis, water polo, and gym training. He is also a travel enthusiast and foodie who loves exploring new cuisines and spending quality time with friends and family during his travels.
